"In every generation there is a chosen one. She alone wull stand against the Vampires, the demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer!"
So begins the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer each week.
In every TV season, one show grips the imaginations of an entire generation of young viewers. In recent seasons, one show stood alone-it made stars out of its cast and put an entire network on the map! That would be Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Since its debut in March 1997, Buffy has vaulted from being the cellar dweller of the TV ratings chart to the most popular show among'tweens and teens. It became so successful that it was moved from its Monday nine P.M time slot and used to kick off an entire new night of programming, since it was felt that fans, loyal and devoted, would follow it anywhere. And they have. Tuesday nights are now Buffy nights-must-see TV for millions of slayer buffs.
